  • Direct: “Yes, I do.” or “I prefer bus travel.”
  • Reason: “It is affordable and regular.”

  • Tiny extra: “I wish the buses were cleaner.”

Keep it 2 to 4 sentences. Do not lecture. Smile and vary tone.

Bangladesh-based model answers

Hometown
Q: Where are you from?
A: I am from Rajshahi, a quiet city by the Padma. It is famous for mangoes and universities, so the vibe feels academic. I like the slower pace, though in summer it can be very hot.

Work or Study
Q: Do you work or study?
A: I study CSE at a private university in Dhaka. Group projects keep me busy, and I also tutor juniors. It is stressful during midterms, but I enjoy building small apps.

Food
Q: Do you like cooking?
A: Yes. On weekends I try simple dishes like khichuri or fried rice. Cooking helps me relax, and my family gives honest feedback, which improves my timing and taste.

Weather
Q: What weather do you like?
A: I prefer winter in Bangladesh because the air feels fresher and travel is easier. I enjoy pithas at local fairs. The only problem is dry skin, so I carry lotion.

Transport
Q: How do you usually travel?
A: I often use buses and ride sharing. Buses are cheaper, but traffic is heavy, so I start early. For short trips I walk to avoid congestion and get some exercise.

Festivals
Q: What is your favorite festival?
A: I love Pahela Baishakh. The colors, folk music, and street food make the day lively. I usually visit TSC with friends, wear a simple punjabi, and eat jilapi.

  • Comparatives: buses are cheaper than rides.
  • Because or so: I start early because of traffic, so I reach on time.

Pronunciation focus for BD speakers

  • Final consonants: say the last sound in words like want, rice, fast.
  • Long vs short vowels: sheet vs sit, pool vs pull.
  • Word stress: AC-com-mo-DA-tion, con-GES-tion.
  • Connected speech: say it fast but clear, not flat.

Daily drill: read one model answer out loud three times, record, and fix final sounds.

Natural linking in one line

Honestly, usually, to be frank, the best part is, on top of that, for example.

Use one per answer, not many.
